How much heavier are the dslr’s? I’m still shopping around…I want a good camera, and I have average strength where I don’t think weight would be a problem. Are there any other benefits besides being lightweight? Thanks in advance!

We use the a5100 for our vlogs and we absolutely love it and is making me want to switch my Nikon DSLR to the sony a7 series, if anyone has used the a7 series, I would love to hear your feedback on it.

I know this is an older post, but found it while doing some research about getting a camera for my new blog, and referred back to it when I was making a decision. I went with Olympus OM-D EM-10, and I’m extremely happy with it! I have no photography background and still trying to learn the ins and outs of this area. I decided getting couple more lenses and it makes a huge difference to the quality of the photos (haven’t published any just yet, still working on it!). Thanks for a great, informative post!

Ive got Olympus Pen and seriously there is nothing better than that little camera! I still have my Nikon but hardly get any use out of it now!

I’ve been using a Sony mirrorless camera for about a year now, and I love it! I tried using my husband’s DSLR at first, but it was too heavy to haul around!

I bought mine on Amazon as a kit, which came with lens adapters, a remote, carrying case, and tripod. Together, it all cost WAY less than just a DSLR alone!
